If you cant get out of kien using just your crossover then you might have to have you tried the portable version of ifa and rodboys instructions

Its the same procedure using the portable method you might have to try a few times before it catches it.

Very slightly different with the portable version.........
renwich's portable IFA is by far the easiest version to use.
no install required
crossover cable only required
works with any static IP ( within reason....192.168.x.x )
works using full image name
image can be sucked in from the deep belly of your computer.
turn dbox off
switch IFA on
select image
select network adapter ( should only be one......with wireless switched off )
select start
turn dbox on..........and away we go !!!!!
Follow the instructions on screen........disconnect and power down/up when instructed.
good luck
ps you may need to disable your AV
I did it guys.
First time round with Renwich's portable IFA and Rodboy and Fergals guides. Could'nt believe it, no messages about Mediasensing and no messages about Hyperthreading, just bang and now the box is as sweet as Lucy Pinders lumps. Hidden Content
It seems that you all think that you know what is going on.But no one passes all the information on to help people who are just starting.Nearly every questioned asked is answered with a one liner instead of fully explaining what to do If this "forum" does not allow discussions of how to to replace the KEYS in a DBOX it lets every body who do not know their way around slowly sinking So this is to the ADMIN show where to go if not on this site and do not be vague point to the correct link please?
Introduce yourself properly first mate.........
then do some reading..........all the answers to all the problems are here within the forum........we're not here to spoonfeed lazy assholes like you !!
what you are wanting to use is ILLEGAL, you are defrauding the cable co's and your are breaking copyright laws.
we did NOT setup this forum to spoonfeed people, it is for self education & experimentation, all the answers that are need are contained within many threads throughout various sections.
please take sometime to read.
your one strike has been used.

Well it still may show but if it is disabledit will not work. Is there a reason you cannot enable it?
have you got this going yet?
dx
its nice here....
Go into your network settings
Right click local area connection.
Properties
Configure
Advanced
Make sure flow controll is enabled
Speed +duplex try 10 and 1 half duplex
If that dont work try it on auto config
Lets know ...........................Paul
still no joy guys i have tried the setting you sugested plasterer but still nothing, i had this problem before and ended up using hyperterminal on an old tower and reflashing the box the long winded old fashioned way, the old tower i had has alas now given up the ghost and gone the way of the dodo
Have you done this
Go to Control panel > Network Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Manage Network Connections
protocol version 6 & 4
disable IPV6 and enable ipv4 and also make sure that IPV4 has been given an inbuilt IP address one below the boxes ip or 192.168.1.201
