Connect via your FTP Program (for this you will need the ip of your box ok) and copy the image to the main /tmp folder. Then on DBox2 remote
Press the D-Box Key
Choose Service
Choose Software Update
Choose Expert Mode
Choose Write Single Partition without Bootloader.
The name of your Image will be shown then select via the remote and press OK and after that the red Button to confirm.
but i dont know the ip of the box m8,unless someone know the default setting for image sp 1.7 2x uk05?

have you set your network card to half mode?
try rebooting the box by the front power and the arrow up button while IFA is running, it could take a couple of attempts for the box to catch IFA
ive tried that as well m8.for about 2mins,im totally baffled!!
when i turn the dbox on it just says kein system basically right away

i know the default ip for that image.its 192.168.254.200.
can i fxp to the box now?
or renwich could you explain to me what to do to get it in the same default range,im using desktop m8.
also it says in the instructions if you have windows xp sp2 then u have to unblock, but is this only if you have a null modem cable?this is torture!
if the dbox wont boot you cant use flashfxp to ftp the image to the /tmp folder.Hidden Content Originally Posted by timcfc

the default ip of the dbox is 192.168.xxx.xxx so setting your network card up so its in range of your dbox default ip can help. IE set your network card ip to 192.168.1.201

also where can u get a null modem cable?
is IFA maybe not workin because i have something blocking it from communicating with the box.
because when i start IFA the dbox boot manager says at the bottom
pinging dbox2...failed.
also when the bootmanager appears is there anything in the dbox bootmanager settings that i could change, this is so baffling!!!
usually about 5mins,this is because in the lcd screen it still says kein systems,it tells u that it should say flashing,am i right here hunter?
it,s all in the timming mate
unplug box
start IFA
count to 5 then plug box back in
see where you go from there
(it must be a xover cable)
i have tried that m8,it is a cross over cable as well.
as soon as i press ok the dbox bootmanager kicks in is this normal?coz thats what its doing m8
if it doesn't work then leave ifa running and unplug the box then plug it back in again, mine rarely takes 1st time.
