    My lager and honey recipe

Currently got Hidden Content and thought i would mix it up abit so...

1/I got the can of lager malt, warmed it up and added it to the brewing/fermentation bin, rinsed out the empty can with boiling hot water and poured that into the fermentation bin.

2/ Boiled 8 litres of water in kettle and added to bin, then added 700 grams of normal sugar and mixed in,then the honey was added,i use cheap clear honey and added 400 grams, mixed it all together.

3/ Next i topped up the fermentation bin with water to the 38 pint mark(i know it says to 40 pints but i wanted a stronger lager),mixed it again then added the yeast, checked temperature was around the 21c temperature(16 to 21 is fine),left for a week and half to ferment.

4 / After fermentation was finished the lager was bottled up and with half i added to my new pressure barrel,to carbonate its about half a teaspoon of sugar per pint.

Now all i waiting for is for the next 2 weeks to hurry up Hidden Content while it settles and carbonates properly.

Btw i didnt use a c02 injector for the pressure barrel as its on order.Hidden Content

    About 4/4.5.

If you add less water then should be stronger aka rather than filling to 40 pints you could do it to 38 ;-)

Smell it gave out was nice although alot of it would of been used in the fermentation process, just have to wait and see in 3 weeks.

Whole point of homebrew is trial and error ;-)

All the Coopers kits are good the Pale Ale is probably my favorite of their range. The Sparkling Ale is also good but its costs a bit more what with the extra fermentables needed.

I would ditch the sugar, use spray malt for both fermenting and priming its much nicer tasting finished product.

I never did get around to buying the kit but defo going to get one next payday. The only question i have is that do you need to keep it warm at a precise temperature? Thats where i might struggle!
