    Zlob.downloader

Damn, just discovered Zlob.downloader on my laptop. Reading about it appears that it's a nasty little bugger. Obviously, my current level of security is inadequate.

I have Ad-aware and Sophos running but that didn't it pick it up. Just searching around for something else, maybe even purchase something, bitdefender has caught my eye but if anybody can recommend something I would appreciate it. I will have a look at some of the other threads on the subject here.

    Re: Zlob.downloader

I currently use Kaspersky, and find it to be the best of the ones i've tried so far (Used F-Secure, McAfee and Norton as well as some freeware ones). It picks up things that the other scanners miss as i found out at work where most of the machines are infected with crap despite having a commercial F-Secure licence!

Check your bank accounts, many online banking systems give you free antivirus/internet security suites.
I know for certain that you can get McAfee from HSBC and Kaspersky from Barclays.
