Die hard fans of the Call of Duty franchise have just over a week now until the launch of the hotly anticipated shooter sequel, Call of Duty: Black Ops, finally arrives. So to further whet our appetites, Treyarch's community manager Josh Olin has revealed some "little-known" features that will be included in Black Ops multiplayer package come the 9th of November. This will include:

* Multiplayer Online Split-Screen Support
o The online split-screen support comes back to the franchise. Now you can "connect a second controller and bring a guest online (i.e. ?JD_2020? & ?JD_2020(1)?). Guests can rank up, earn unlocks, etc ? all guest progress goes away once signed out."
* Custom Games Editor
o Black Ops Custom Games Editor gives players the "ability to structure their games at all new levels of granularity. Furthermore, any Custom Game you create and configure can be placed in your File Share, for friends and the community to browse, download, and enjoy."
* In-Game Friends List
o An in-game friend list will be integrated into the in game user interface. Players can now "browse Recent Players, Friends, navigate their File Shares, Recent Games, Combat Records ? all within this in-game menu system designed to streamline the social process within the game."
* Regional Matchmaking & Party Privacy
o Black Ops will support regional matchmaking filters on a global scale that promises to "make communication and lag a much less intrusive variable on your gameplay experience."
* Emblems Do NOT Reset with Prestige
o Emblems earned will not reset when a player chooses to go Prestige. Things that will reset when you Prestige are: XP, COD Points, Challenge progressions, Loadouts, and so forth.
