The easy was to install CFW to PSP Fat or Slim

Was given this by a very helpfull member of another forums. Not my work, but i've tested on a PSP slim & worked perfect.

This Universal Un-bricker Easy Installer will create a magic memory stick from a standard Memory Stick Pro Duo; this in conjunction with a Pandora battery or a Datel Tool will flash any PSP, Fat or Slim from any region with CFW 3.80m33-5

For the update you’ll require the following three items

    1. A genuine memory stick Pro Duo (over 64mb) but not bigger than 4GB, Hidden Content
    2. The Easy Installer software from Hidden Content it includes the 3.90m33-3 update, the 1.50 add on and the fatmspatch mod.
    3. A Pandora Battery either created on a FAT PSP running CFW with a 1.50 fw add on and this Magic memory stick or you could use one of these off the shelf products (they’re available from other places too)

Hidden Content device changes your existing battery to a Pandora (service mode) and back again

Hidden Content creates a temp Pandora battery with AAA batteries or

Hidden Content is a pre made Pandora battery from Datel

All these products work in both fat and slim PSP’s

    Magic Memory Stick Creation

    • This little app will only work on an XP PC
    • Your memory stick must be a Pro Duo (over 64mb)
    • Prepare the memory stick by
    • Connecting your PSP to the PC via USB cable and enable USB from the XMB
    • On the PC open dos box (start, run, cmd, ok)
    • Type format x: /fs:fat /a:64k and press enter (x=drive letter for the memory stick)
    • When complete type exit and press enter
    • On the PSP close the USB connection
    • Unpack the Easy Installer to a safe location on your PC
    • Re-connect your PSP to the PC via USB cable and enable USB from the XMB
    • Run the installer (autorun.exe)
    • Follow the installers instructions - its as simple as 1, 2, 3, reboot, reconnect 4 & exit
    • Finished! You now have a magic memory stick

    Custom Firmware Installation

    1. Ensure your battery is fully charged
    2. Fully switch off the PSP (it must not be in standby)
    3. Remove the battery cover and battery from your PSP
    4. Remove any memory stick you may have in your PSP and insert the “Magic Memory stick”
    5. Insert your Pandora Battery (Datel Tool) it into the PSP, you’ll need to hold it in place while you do the next step
    6. The PSP will now boot up and the screen will display a menu like this

    • Press X to install 3.80 M33
    • Press O to install original 3.80 (rest of the process as the X option)
    • Press [] to dump nand to nand-dump.bin. When done, psp will auto shutdown.
    • Press L+R+HOME+start to restore nand from nand-dump.bin

I FULLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU BACK UP NAND BEFORE YOU PROCEED ANY FURTHER!

    7. While still holding the battery in place Press x and it will begin the installation this normally takes about 30 – 40 seconds
    8. When complete you will be instructed to press x – do so and the PSP will shut down
    9. Now remove the Pandora battery and Install a “standard” battery into your PSP and replace the battery cover
    10. Now switch on
    11. Your PSP will now have custom firmware 3.80m33-5

    Installation of the 3.90M33-3 Update

    1. From the PSP XMB, GAME, Memory stick run the 3.90m33-3 update, the update will be done by Sony updater. At the end when you are asked to reboot the PSP press X as requested, that’s it done!

    Enable No UMD Mode

This will allow you to run your backed up UMD games from your memory stick without having a UMD game disk in the optical drive
    1. While on the XMB press the SELECT button
    2. From the M33 VSH MENU use the arrow key to go down to UMD ISO MOD
    3. Press the right and left arrows to select Sony NP9660
    4. Move down to EXIT and press X

    Known Errors

"My PSP now turns on displays the date, time and level of charge then after 30 seconds turns itself off." Here's how you fix it
    1. Boot PSP into Recovery mode by holding the R trigger when you switch on
    2. Go to Advanced ->
    3. Format flash1 and reset settings
    4. Your PSP will now boot

    WARNING
YOU MUST ACCEPT THERE IS ALWAYS SOME LEVEL OF RISK WHEN FLASHING ANY PSP
AND ALTHOUGH THIS IS THE SAFEST METHOD OF LOADING CUSTOM FORMWARE IT COULD POSSIBLY CAUSE PERMINANT DAMAGE.
