Re: Reading Comics On The Computer

I used to read all the Marvel comics from being a kid in the 1960's to the late 70's when I was in the army. When you could get hold of them through the Y.M.C.A. bookshops. They started to get quite expensive though. We used to swap them around the barracks a lot, almost like currency. There was no Sky or English telly in Germany then either. I used to love Thor, Spiderman, Fantastic Four, The Avengers, Iron Man, The X-Men, just about anything I could get my hands on. I read Superman and Batman and some other D.C comics sometimes as well but they somehow lacked the emotional content and character development of the Marvel ones.
I have'nt read a comic in years, too busy trying to be one I suppose. Never really grown up I'm glad to say. Im going to use Ikons link and have a look around the web to see whats out there. Maybe I can escape to my second childhood for a while, though as I remember it some of the Marvel comics dealt with quite adult themes for a comic.

Re: Reading Comics On The Computer

CDisplay is a fantastic bit of software. I had my comic collection swiped years ago & had given up collecting them. That & being skint. Now, thanks to this & downloads, I'm back up-to-date with all my favourites.

Oh, and thanks to work as well, for giving me my own office. Ha!
