dan brown, angels and demons, JRR Tolkien, lord of the rings, tolstoy, war and peace. too many to list, all books have there merits. these are a few of my favs, plus any about "the troubles" in N.I.
Best fiction would be, The Master and Margarita, by Mikhail Bulgakov, just because I really enjoyed it, and for something written in Communist Russia in the late thirties, early forties, it doesn't alienate you, or feel dated at all.
Best Non-Fiction would be, Into Thin Air, by Jon Krakauer, because it's an enthralling book, which started my infatuation with mountaineering books, and Everest in particular.
Wow... 8 months and no one has read a good book
