    Covid

    Who's had Covid ?

When did you have it ?

    How did you feel ?

I've got it the now, but didn't know I had it and flew back to Scotland on Wednesday !

With hindsight I had a bit of a cough and sore head on Tue & Wed and only tested as the kids nipped my head.
My symptoms is nothing more than a head cold and feeling more tired than normal, so I guess I've been very lucky.

Me and my wife had it last September. We returned from a visit to my sisters in Swansea and 1 of my granddaughters visited. Then she found out she had covid and let us know.We both tested positive and although we were fully vaccinated my wife took it quite bad,she had a really bad flu like symptoms and lost her taste and smell. She still has no smell to date.I on the other hand have got COPD although it doesn't impact me too bad,i just have to take things a bit slower.I wasn't up or down with it,i did rest a lot just in case though.

I've heard of other people saying the same about their taste and smell. I'm glad your wife recovered well apart from that.
Did you get COPD as a result of Covid ? My husband has COPD and Asthma and was also positive on the same day as me. I was always worried about him catching it but his symptoms were like mine.
I've passed it onto our daughter, She's immunosuppressed. She already had a letter from the hospital telling her what to do if she caught Covid, so she phoned them and they've sent out Anti Viral medication for her.

Hi berley,no I’ve had COPD for years.I’ve had to give up smoking even vapes.I retired just before my 70th birthday at the start of Covid just in case.My COPD is not bad but I need to pace myself as my wife is disabled and I’m chief cook and bottle washer. We got a chihuahua not that long ago so that’s been added to my chores as well.

Sorry to hear all about these conditions,we've been doing regular PCR test for the ONS and Oxford University since this all started, every month get a test ,all negative, done one end of February and came back positive ?straight away done lateral flow test ,negative, booked a PCR test ,negative, next day another lateral flow test negative ,booked 2 more PCR TEST again both negative, they then sent out someone to take a blood sample and do another PCR test everything was clear ,I had no symptoms in the first place, never felt unwell ,they came back the 1st of April to do another again negative, then yesterday they came back to do another for which I'm waiting results, they had emailed and said it could have been a false positive as this happens as all the other test were negative, still feel fine though Hidden Content

Very strange though.I read that they can alter the results by turning up the appliance that checks samples.Everybody has a form of covid in their system. When they wanted a lockdown they turned these appliances up to 40 therefor picking up more positives cases. And they would turn it down to 10 when it suited them and therefor less cases.

Did you volunteer to do this ?
Glad your both keeping well and haven't caught it.
I'm sure our youngest daughter is made of Teflon as she's a party animal plus she sat with me for an hour before I tested and she's been popping in every day to check. Long may it continue that she doesn't catch it.
The hospital sent out Paxlovid for our daughter who is immunosuppressed and she's managing fine with having it.
