Watch a Souped-Up Mail Truck Do Some Epic Burnouts

    Hidden Content
LS swaps are a dime a dozen, so it's not often one catches our eye like this one has. One man decided it would be a good idea to drop a 6.0-liter V-8 into a decommissioned Grumman LLV USPS mail delivery truck and turn it into a full-on burnout machine.

It took David Stacy, the builder, over two years to find a mail truck for sale suitable for the swap. Knowing what he'd be getting into, he spent the first half of 2019 sourcing rare parts for the build, before finally finding a body he liked this summer. After that, it was three months of hard work getting everything to fit together. The end product, as you can see from this video from LS Fest back in September, is pretty fantastic.

According to LSX Magazine, the engine was sourced from a Silverado 2500 HD, and features an LS3 camshaft, dual valve springs, LS9 head gaskets, modified heads, and a 90-millimeter throttle body. The cold air intake was taken off a Camaro SS, and modified to fit inside the truck's unique engine bay. Power gets to the rear wheels via a 6L90 six-speed automatic transmission and a 8.8-inch rear end from a Ford Explorer, paired to a limited-slip differential.
