Wireless adapter
I have to play about with mine far to much to get it to work. It often goes with just a reds light and if I fiddle with it eventually it will go green. Anyone else experience this? How do you get round it? it's very annoying, sometimes I just give up.

ON a serious note does it mean I have to get a new one or what? To be honest from the day I've had it it's been like that, I think they are just cheap crap by Microsoft, sort it out man!

Re: Wireless adapter
Well could be bad connection or interference in where its situated? Oxidization on the contacts? Think it'll be a case of ruling things out

I think you hit the nail on the head yourself there! Hidden Content
Chuck it in the bin and connect an rj45 cable to your box, either straight to your router or through a home network plug!
You will get a faster and more reliable connection,..........as well as protecting your scalp from all the constant hair pulling! Hidden Content

I'd tend to agree - they just aren't that good quality. I know someone with a similar problem and they can't solve it.

Re: Wireless adapter
I had this problem with my old xbox/wireless adapter. Switched back to my trusty RJ cable eventually.
I must say though my new xbox with built-in wireless works flawlessly..

Yea I have often thought about this too mate (what you said), but how can we get the digital wireless phone base unit and the adsl router very far apart from each other as we all know (well the people who do know), that it is not good to have a phone line connection any longer than basically the ones that come with the router and the phone, I think they are like maybe what errrrm 5ft long at most, Ive always been told a longer phone cable will bring issues of its own such as snr issues etc etc etc, so how do we get them safely apart (the router and the phone base) ?
Or do you just mean that its not a good idea to have them actually rubbing together but maybe 3ft apart would be fine, is that what ya mean mate ?
let us know please. Hidden Content

Re: Wireless adapter
Glad I read this before I bought one!
Is there any other wireless alternative to microsoft's, as cabling my 360 would be a pain?

Your best and most reliable alternative to direct cabling would be to use a home network plug!
Maybe not the cheapest solution because you would need some with a decent transfer speed, 200 mbs and above, but if it would be really difficult to use a cable direct, that is your best alternative.

Re: Wireless adapter
I had seen wi-fi plugs before, but wasn't to sure if they were any good. I once had a thing that you plugged in to deter rodents, it was meant to use the house wiring too, did eff all though!

Plug the adapter into the general wall outlet. Your online traffics passing th through your home or office's electric wires that permit you to enhance the reach of wi fi.

Re: Wireless adapter
If its scanning and seeing the router then its either that you password has changed (log into router and find out) or reset the system cache on the xbox

Re: Wireless adapter
I'm glad to hear your happy with the adapters threeseven.
The thing is an Xbox wireless adapter would probably have cost more than the wifi plugs did and would only have worked ish on your 360. As you have found out the plugs are a much more versatile solution, plus you can add more plugs to them to provide extra connections. Hidden Content
