Re: want to share my files on my lappy

seemingly you can share the c root drive, but i was in c/user/public/public-videos, now i righthand click, go to properties, cilck on the share tab and on a third of the way down there is a share button, now i was told i had to share to everyone, so i made the link on the add button, then add, i then hightlight that, tick the write & read, then ok it, it then try`s to share, but comes back saying folder not shared, Now i am on the homeshare network, and everything has been ticked to share... eg...docs...pictures...videos... to start with anyway, so what is stopping the public-video folder from sharing......

cheers Red, i know about this part m8, they both basicly run with the same set up, apart from when you put media streaming on, your network automaticly reverts back to home network,

Re: want to share my files on my lappy

Ive found the easy way to use VU to watch films is just copy them to hard drive and use its media player, i dont thnk its possible to stream unless you setup a media server not really tried thats what i do, drag em over then delete when you watched em.
