For XP Mode you need Windows 7 Professional or Business.
If you don't then you will need to look at running a Virtual Machine.
If you have a valid XP license. I suggest you looking at running...
Thanks for posting this. I am thinking about signing up as a beta tester. Once I have my machines sorted. Just had a motherboard failure, so having to reinstall Windows. Fun!
I think the company...
No problem. :) Glad to see your team takes these things seriously. I'm normally used to having to go through a script that has nothing to do with the problem. Then doing an Irish jig before someone...
Thank you for your prompt fix. Just wanted to confirm it is now working again. :)
Hello Gazer and Reddevil,
Thanks for replying promptly to this problem. Apologies for not getting back to you sooner.
I'm afraid the same issue is still occurring for me.

Hello Everyone,
I just wanted to ask / report if anyone else is having this issue.

Hey Everyone,
As you can see, I'm new to the forum, haven't really introduced myself. But one thing I enjoy is sharing information particularly of a technology nature and learning new things....
Well done for the find and thanks for sharing, it is a bargain. :)
For those of you wanting the full speed of a USB 3.0 drive though, you may want to look elsewhere.
To put it into perspective...
Segate, 5400RPM. Would be my choice. A faster drive will generate more heat. Heat does not sit very well with the PS3's especially the originals.
Do you know what was the cause of the issue? I do agree with fergalsworld, a repair installation may be your best option. You can always clone the drive first if you're concerned.
Have you made sure that the Windows partition is set to Active? You can use Diskpart to do this, or Gparted / Parted Magic.
Correct, it is actually detailed in the PS3 manual. However, damaging the PS3 whilst attempting to do this would of course void the warranty.
I would recommend you try the demo on the PSN store, if you have access to the Internet on your console.
Personally, I own 09 and 13. They have been the best ones for me. :)
Hello,
What browser are you using?
I have seen this issue when hardware acceleration has been enabled within the browser particularly with integrated graphics such as Intel.
If you manage...
Thanks. I will do my best, my gut feeling is the OP hard drive is in bad shape. I work in I.T myself :)
Looking at the error message, logically it would suggest it cannot read the sectors it needs to.
That being the MBR / Boot Sector.
It could also be an MBR / Boot Sector virus.
If you're able...
