hello, if anyone knows how to stop a Di4000 from resetting I would be very gratefull, after the box get to channel 890, it will reset after a couple of minutes, the time varies now and again but it always resets.
I think a capacitor has been removed as part of a anti-update mod or something. it doesn't reset at all in the engineers menu.
Any thoughts would be great.

Hello thesparky,
The net-id does stay the same, 40961, which is what I want. I was thinking that if the voltage rail is fluctuating then the chip might see this condition and just reset, need to get it on a scope on it, some kind of Brown-out detection.
cheers

this is the no-update mod for the 4000

check those two.
if it isnt that then i had a similar prob but with a 1000 - just left it in stream and it sorted itself out.
you could also try force update (if u havent already) or resetting the box (red jumper) and starting over.
the 4000 also has a seperate psu - u could check the output voltages from this where it connects to the main board..

well just checked the box & found no capacitor at all for the 1 that should be near pin 20.
I will solder 2 0.1uF capacitors on and then check it.
