with such little info very diff to diagnose.
but *if* it is powering down then up just like someone has removed the mains plug then put it back
i would guess that your power supply is not up to it in terms of its watt
ie you have alot of cards or hdd's or usb devices and they are drawing too much from the pc power supply.
goto pc world with your motherboard details and get a 350 or 400w one.

2nd guess if it is shutting down then rebooting as per normal way.
i'd consider doing a virus scan, goto the panda online scanner,
there are virus/worms that will cause that & it is one of their traits.

Another possibility is that the system is overheating due to one or more knackered cooling fans or heatsink blocked up with dust but again, very difficult to diagnose with such little information on the actual problem and whether the PC shuts down after a given amount of time or in a given set of circumstances.

It is most likely a problem with the psu or m/b if it is hardware. PSU may not be powerful enough or may be on its way out. Software wise there are some virus's which can reboot the PC...

I would nearly 100% sure its the Power Supply gone.If the power supply can't give a constant voltage to the motherboard the PC will spontaneously reboot.

I had similar problems. Just upgraded my PSU Antec 550W and the problem was gone
