Im afraid my paltry 40GB Hard Drive is grinding to a halt. I use a Packard Bell Easynote B3800 and was looking to purchase an external drive so any ideas would be a great help. Mainly I use it for music n vids.

I see Currys are advertising 320GB for ?80, this seems rather good - Unless you know better !!

Cheers, G.

The 250Gb Seagate is quite good and stable too. I have been using one (constantly on) for the last 3 months and no issues yet. You can get it from eBuyer. A friend of mine brought a LIDL leaflet and it seems that they are selling one for ?99.

Cheers

I also used an external hard drive caddy (USB2) with a laptop 2.5" Hard Drive. Whilst limited in maximum capacity on the 2.5" drive, the convenience, portability & powered by USB2 is really great & I would thoroughly recommend it.
