Hi, i have a sky digibox and have had sky for years i now wanna cancel but my question is can i still use it to watch freeview only chanels after i cancel?

Have seen these FREESAT CARD's on the net for sale and they range from ?30 to ?100, will i need to buy one of these?

Where is the best (cheapest) place to buy from?

the freesat cards are duplicate copies of test cards that allow viewing of all channels as far as i can remember and if you cancel your subscription do they not kill your line, so you have no signal comming through?? if they dont kill the line, then you can get a digibox from ebay and use the freesat card or just get a "modded" digibox. best bet for the cheapest cards and boxes are ebay mate. hope this helps

I'm using a freesat card but with a dreambox 7000.Using a gemini img with a newcamd[or g-box]emu that allows you to use a freeview card. You can also use a sub card but you need the s*y box number. So that's another option!..cheers stickdrum

you can get freesat cards directly from sky for about 20quidish i think. they do not open many channels you don't even get the full lou you do on free view box. no e4,no sky sports news etc

freesat cards are 20 direct from sky
if you cancel your sub, your card will revert to a freesat card
however, after time they will switch c4 and 5 off!
and then you will need to buy a freesat card.
time varies considerably - some peoples last for years, some for a few months!

All the freesat card gives you is c4 and c5 - plus your local itv and bbc variations
all the other channels are avaliable without a card, bbc1 etc

Is freesat any better than freeview?
