I have down loaded games from the net and I have devhook 0.46 running on 1.5

Some of the games I have downloaded have devhook files in them how do i play them.

I have tried to just put the iso or cso in the ios folder but no joy.

you have to select your iso from the devhook menu and make sure you have a game in your UMD drive and NOT a film.

no it has the iso file but also the dev hook files in the win rar file down loaded.

I have tried to just put in the iso file but the psp hangs

then try to put in the whole thing also it hangs.

it hangs when i run boot up the psp when selecting dev hook

when you say the psp hangs do you mean it freezes? and have you put a game in the umd?

also just using the .iso or .cso should work.

let me know how you get on, if your still stuck after that i'll post my setting and see if your's are any different.

cant you get any game working?i do know some iso's are modified to work with certain loader such as mhp's which will not work in devhook 0.46.

other than that download it again from elsewhere may fix your problem

But it seems to have the dev hook loader files in the win rar file

when i run it with devhook 0.46 it hangs the psp

I downloaded 5 games and 3 have the files and 2 are ok

m8 if you got 2 games working and the others dont work it would be an issue with the .iso's.
I normally just copy the .iso file to my iso folder on the psp (even though it will have other files),
would it be worth installing devhook 0.46 again? see if it makes any difference.

Okay. Time to get serious. Format the memory stick ! Yes, format it ! Then, download the DevHook full installer from psp-hacks.com. Plug your USB lead into the PSP and run the installer. This will put all the files in the right places. Then take your ISO/CSO file and put it in the ISO folder. If the RAR came with any other files (DevHook or such), completely ignore them, as they are probably conflicting with something else. All you need is the ISO/CSO. Then get a UMD GAME (MUST be a GAME, not a film) and put it in the drive, but DONT insert it. Run DevHook on the 1.50. Select the ISO/CSO file from the menu. Select 2.71 from the firmware menu and 333/166 from the next one down. These settings will remain until you select otherwise. Select start and the PSP will reset. This will boot into 2.71 mode (emulated of course). NOW you can insert the UMD (I have found that sometimes the PSP will hang if the UMD is left in while it's being re-booted). Let the UMD load. Instead of seeing your actual UMD game, you'll see the selected ISO/CSO game. Select the UMD to start the game. Instead of the UMD, it will load the ISO/CSO. Follow this guide and it WILL work. Have fun.
