Another plane crash into a building in manhatten tonight. It looks like an accident but i am suprised it happened, I thought all Manhatten was a no fly zone.

On October 11, 2006, a small general aviation plane crashed in New York City at 2:42 pm local time. The aircraft struck the north side of an apartment building on the Upper East Side of Manhattan; it caused a fire in two apartments on the 40th and 41st floors, which was extinguished within one hour.

Two people who were in the aircraft when it struck the building are confirmed dead, with two others evacuated uninjured from the building, according to Mayor Michael Bloomberg. According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the Cirrus SR20 aircraft, tail number N929CD, was pending registration to New York Yankees pitcher Cory Lidle whose passport was reportedly found on the sidewalk after the crash The Yankees confirmed that Cory Lidle was killed in the crash
