Hi,

Buying software can be expensive try this:

Goto Start -
then goto Run -
Then Type - msconfig
press enter

A menu will popup goto Startup tab.

There you can stop wot ever you want.

Hope this helps.

Start:run:msconfig

When you are in there, there is an option to hide all Microsoft services from the list, do that. Now you can happily disable all the other stuff without worrying that you might have turned off an essential service

Hi,
Here's the one I use, it's free & you can control stuff that starts from the registry too.

In control panel > performance and maintenance > administrative tools > services you can disable some more start up stuff from there and it explains what the different programs do, right click and click properties and you can disable them from start up or just stop them from running.
