I bought the wee black box for NTL anologue in 2000 for ?60 and it still works to this day. I get Sky sports 1,2,3 and two porn channels, sky movies 1,2.

Very reliable and i won't change until the digital switchover.

I also have a freeview box to watch the Setanta games courtesy of this great site.

here ya go the instructions for ya

PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS FOR NTL:

1. Open the lid of the cube and you will see three buttons B E F (back, enter, forward) as shown above.
2. Put your converter on to any channel you would normally receive. (DO NOT use a premium or pay per view channel)

3. Press the (F) button once on the cube, and wait for your T.V. channel to disappear. (You sometimes get a message telling you that your converter is disconnected or blank screen)

4. As soon as the channel disappears press the ENTER (E) button.

5. Wait for the channel to come back on and immediately press BACK (B) button

6. Now press (F) every second until the screen goes blank or begins to flash your converter is disconnected, Press (B) to go back if you pass the blank screen.

7. Once you have a blank screen or disconnected notice on screen permently press ENTER (E).

8. Now take the power off and then back on and then press Enter (E)

9. Finally press (F) to put the cube into the correct mode and the green light should now flash every 20 seconds or so.

If you think that you have made a mistake in the programming then you may have to reset it and start again.
To reset follow the instructions below:

Power the cube down and back up again, Press the BACK (B) button on your cube and wait for your picture to re-appear. Once the picture has re-appeared, simply restart the cube (switch off and on again) and begin the programming instructions again from the beginning.

IMPORTANT FOR NTL OR MULTIMODE CUSTOMERS

MULTIMODE is a standard protection that NTL use in order to stop the unauthorized viewing of "PREMIUM" channels.

The correct mode for the millennium cube in NTL areas is MULTIMODE active. Once you have programmed your box then it is MULTIMODE active. However if you turn the power to the box off at any point or lose power to the box then the box goes into BLOCKER mode active, you can tell if your box has went into BLOCKER active mode because your "GOOD" channels will start to "CORRUPT" (go negative, wavy lines, bad sound etc.) to correct this problem simply open the millennium cube turn the power off then on and do the following:-

Press the ENTER (middle) button (the green light should come on) then press the FORWARD button (F) (the green light should go out and start blinking every 15 seconds). Your channels should return after around 15 to 20 minutes.

We suggest that you leave the power to your MILLENNIUM cube turned ON at ALL times in order to reduce the need for this procedure.
