No soulution to mod this box yet m8. However i am watching cable on one just now because it came with a paired card. This is the only way to get one of these working just now. Talkback has been done just no jtag points found.

yeah rom11 bod m8.
And i attatched a pic of where to cut talkback. Its on the underside of the pcb and requires u to remove 4 components.

Is it not removing the resistors only?? Dont removing capacitors cause buzzing.

Modded mine by removing the components in the pic and its working perfectly. Not sure if cap's are necessary i did them anyway. I know it doesnt make a difference if u remove caps just not sure whether u need to.

If u have the card u can read the card using an unlooper and card reader. Net id and pin can be changed using the programme in the downloads however it requires u to erase the 24(L)C1024.

Also, i take it that 24(L)C1024. is a chip of some sort - if so do we read it using the same chip reader as we did on the old atmels?

ICE do you have a fully working 2110c?

Yeah i have a fully working 2110c but i had a paired card and read it which is the only way just now to have a fully working 2110c.
Also i am on NTL so it auto sets my net id and my pin was set at default factory settings (1234) so i had it extremely easy with my box.
Yeah u need to erase that chip before u can use the fun netid. Or alternativly u can buy a new chip (about £4) and replace it. Has same effect u just need it to be blank.
Attatched the BOD script. Make sure u have flashed ur unlooper with the latest files if not use the ones iv attatched.

So does the willem erase the chip?? Why do i need it erased?? im ex C&W, does thisw mean even with a blank chip it will not auto update the net id anyways, and the chip will remain blank?

how do we get into the eng menu?

If you're in exC&W then you're right that it will not set the netid itself - you need to do this using the funcard method, but before you can set the netid using a funcard you must first erase the chip (or replace with a new blank one). You get into the engineers menu just like any other box - i.e. hold down up/down keys and connect to mains supply.

What is the netid set to in the Eng. Menu? If the box has been subscribed (hopefully it has or the card may not be properly paired) then the netid must be set to something, so you'll need to erase / replace the ship before you can set the netid for your area.

PS I'm in exactly the same boat, got hold of an ex subbed 2110 so got valid IRD & BK off the card, have been waiting for stocks of 24c1024 chips to arrive at Farnell for ages now so have given up and ordered a cheap serial EEPROM progger off ebay for £4 - will post back when it eventually arrives to let you know if successful!

i have removed and read the 24(L)C1024 chip and found no ird in the hex but i didnt have the boxkey for the box so couldnt search for that. i used a elvis programmer to read it using multiprog software.
