(:| Hi, guy's

I was just wondering, is it possible to run a screensaver on a DBox2.

I am an avid user of Dream Aquarium on my pc and would love to be
able to use something similar on my dbox connected to my tv.

Maybe it could be programed by some genius out there and made to
reside in the games area or something.

Thanks to you all for making this forum one of the best i have used.

it is not possible..

Anything is possible ;)
Do you mean a screensaver that turns itself on after no activity (like Windows) or one that is manually activated? I would presume a manually activated one otherwise it may interrupt TV viewing.

What is the gain for a manually activated screensaver? :)
Im just enquiring - maybe it'll be good for Plasma Screens in Radio mode or something.

:) Thanks for your reply.

Yes a manualy switched one would be best, because like you have stated
it may well intefere with the program channels.

I thought that because a game can be run, a screensaver would be a
possibility.

I have even contacted some of the TV manufacturers asking if it would
be possible to do this as a built in unit in TV's.

After all DVD players have a rudimentary screensaver built in and i think
if one could be made to come on as a tropical or marine fish tank, it would
be a real good thing.

I personally have fish tanks in my home, but have been thinking about
giving them up and if one could be programmed has a screensaver on a
Dbox, it would be perfect for me.

I do not know if you have seen the demo of the Dream Aquarium, but it
is fantastic so i purchased the full version. It is the best that i have ever
seen and i have see a good many.
