View Full Version : 4100 cant stop auto-booting

I have a old 4100 here thats been laying around for a while that im trying to netboot,it has the newer firmware on it so i am useing a max232 cable on it......problem is when i try it hyperterm i cant get it to stop auto-booting,I have 2 max232 cables and both does the same....any ides?

Try terra term or etherboot.

Cheers mate Should the scrolling stop in ether_boot like it should in hyperterm?

If you have the correct settings in etherboot , it should stop it ,,allthough i have found some modems that just refuse to have the boot process halted , so i used the b/cat on them.

Na mate its refuseing to stop,looks like a black-cat job!

Check the chip first before you attempt to use blackcat as it works fine with intel and toshiba flash chips ,,but if you have a fuji it could end up killing the modem.
