ok got asked a question and im interested myself, what xbox or other piece of equipment can you put xmbc onto? which is the best (i know you can do it on computer)and how do you do it? can you add addons?and update it ?

Rasberry pi is prob the best device ever for xbmc - its small and is powered by the usb port of your tv (if it has one) so it switches off when you turn your tv off or standby. You can also put it on android devices, mac, ios, but i prefer the Pi over them all. You could build a media centre pc and put xbmc on it and it would be your all in one music/video device and can be a pvr for tv too.

Now the best add-on is the xbmc hub. hard to explain what it is but it puts apps on them that checks the internet for content you want and 'streams' movies etc.

easy to setup, easy to use.

once you have it, you'll wonder how you ever did without it!

yes that would be perfect, but i would use a good(fast) usb thumb drive as xbmc is more responsive running from usb. But you need both sd+usb in for it to run. You can run without usb drive.

Now you will need this:

@ nao i wouldn't know if its any good, I only have it on my laptop (works brill btw and your spoiled for choice) I might get around to getting a box at some point, what I do know is that you can get boxes that are about the size of a beer mat so I will probs get one of them at some point. In the meantime your better letting Alan or anyone other than me offer you advice lol.

Edit: had a quick look at your link and it looks ok to me but I wouldn't take my word for it pmsl

on new installs there is usually some updates that automatically kick in for these things that should be allowed.

also when you installed 'the hub' (you did install it?) what option did you use when it asked you what device it was on?

I don't have a video folder in there either ? A lot of UK ISP's are blocking the streaming websites tho.

Try this -

Right click the 1 channel icon
Click addon settings
Click enable custom domain
Change to - http://xbmcdms.x10.mx
click done, then ok

You need to install xbmc hub. There is something on it in the IPTV addon section. Will post instructions in this thread when I get home

Sent from my One X using Tapatalk

Step 1: Launch “XBMC” and Navigate to the “File Manager” tab under the “SYSTEM” menu.
Step 2: Choose the “Add Source” function on the left side of the window.
Step 3: Under the top field marked marked “Enter the paths or browse for the media locations” enter “http://fusion.xbmchub.com” without quotations, then press the “Done” button on the side of the on-screen keyboard.
Step 4: Under the “Enter a name for this media Source” field enter “fusion” without quotations and then press the “Done” buttom to complete.
Step 5: Press on the “OK” button at the bottom of the window to save the source.
Step 6: Verify that “fusion” is listed on the left side of the File Manager window, then return to the main menu.
Step 7: Go to “Settings” under the “SYSTEM” menu.
Step 8: Choose the “Add-ons” menu option on the left side of the window, press “Ok” if prompted with a first time use message.
Step 9: Select the “Install from zip file” function listed.
Step 10: Click on the “fusion” server item.
Step 11: Open the “hubwizard” folder.
Step 12: Choose the “plugin.video.hubwizard.zip” file and wait a few seconds for it to install, then return to the main menu.
Step 13: Navigate to the “PROGRAMS” menu, then to “Program Add-ons” if given the option.
Step 14: Click on the “Hub Wizard” addon listed.
Step 15: Wait for the short promotional message to play, press the back or exit button to hide it afterwards. (might not do this anymore)
Step 16: Select the platform you are using, PC if installed on a PC or mac if installed on a Mac and so on
Step 17: Wait a few minutes for the add-on to download the appropriate configuration content.
Step 18: Press “OK” when prompted that the procedure is complete, then return to the main menu.
Step 19: Quit “XBMC” by clicking the little power button in the lower left corner or reboot your device then relaunch it and voila!
Step 20: Enjoy your fully customized, pre-configured XBMC setup.

you should then have 1chan, icefilms etc under the video tab in xbmc

but i'd recomend using a vpn for using this. xbmc is not encrypted via https or ssl so your isp can see whats being streamed.

People might laugh and say why, but i prefer being safe than sorry.

You dont need to unistall XBMC you just need to set up a vpn to by pass the uk block
Use this guide to setup a free VPN

Step by Step to make a Primewire proxy for 1Ch Uk Users
For 1Channel Users in the uk that is blocked here is a how to to make a proxy to bypass the block
(Should take about 10 to 15 min)

( If your use a proxy you made it wont get busy or over worked !! )

Just As a side note if you are having problems installing 1ch with fusion and cant get add-ons i downloaded bstrdsmkr 1ch from his github account it worked for me !!

Download this File https://anonfiles.com/file/a9c91ff13b611ae6218d752f2594f984

i bought from the vpn site ????

i know there are free vpn and free proxies for unblocking things. Paid ones can be configured to redirect ALL your traffic not just small selection of things from torrents to email.

PureVPN supports a vast range of VPN Routers including DDWRT, Tomato, Asus, Belkin and TP Link. All these VPN Routers combined with PureVPN account ensures adequate speed and the most reliable connection. So, if you are not a tech geek, you don’t need to worry because PureVPN supported VPN routers can be setup with minimal knowledge.

Soz I should have answered your question in post 40 regarding your video folder instead of just saying I didn't have one either, it wasn't until I properly looked at some of the guides that I realised you needed to click 'most popular' they really should update any of the guides that tell you to look for the video folder. If nothing else at least your paid vpn should be more stable than the free one :)

Is there such a thing as a wired keyboard, as the box i got for the otherhalf is running with an ethernet cable, i believe that a cable connection is much better for streaming than a wireless connection ??? so we were looking for a keyboard for it, but it appears that only wireless keyboards are available, anybody seen one before ?????

you still hard wire the box to your router as its only the keyboard that's wireless as it has its own usb sender you plug into one of the usb ports lol

When you watch movies etc from iptv sources these are usually unencrypted and your isp or antipiracy outfit could track you. using a vpn would keep you safe{r}

to quote air vpn

A VPN tunnel encrypts your connection to internet. This impenetrable tunnel prevents criminal organizations, your ISP or even your government to spy on your communications (more here) (https://airvpn.org/faq/what_is/)
