Hi you need a receiver viaccess incorporated or a viaccess cam. Technomate 1500ci it's very good but Dreambox (7020) is the best. £100 pounds is for a 6 or 12 months subscription?

technomates are really good value for the money,if you only want to use the art package you are prolly looking at 250+ just for the gear if you install it yourself
which is pretty easy if you have a south facing house,if you want a motorised setup your looking at another 80+ for the motor

i spent about 450 and installed it myself but i paid over the top for my reciever

sometime you can get loads of channels sport/prawn/movies just by updating your box wink wink wink.

regarding the cards on ebay you have to be careful as there are plenty of iffy ones on there.

also some recievers need additional cams to access the card

like mine(humax 5400).

I had a look at both. Go for the first one, £20 cheaper and you have 7 days to return, it if not happy. Go for the Technomate 1500ci with a diablo cam if you want more than sport. Hotbird at 13E can be received with a 60cm dish. In order to save money, you may buy a sky zone 2 dish, very light and easy to install. You're looking at around £250 including cam and cas 3 programmer, and can upgrade to motorised at a later date.

The guys have good feedback, can't see any problems there then. I know someone who had bought of Kaptan Sparrow a couple of months back and touch wood no problem yet.

I have also noticed that they are selling at a much lower price than else where on the net, so is there a catch some where along the line....???

Sorry, didn't want to be putting you off from buying as I will most likely be buying one myself (better than investing 60 odd quid in a K3, which no doubt will be off in a couple of weeks anyway).

Hi, could you tell me which site you purchased your art card please? little weary of Ebay myself. One other thing, Is it ligit to use a setup with an art card at home or illegal? Also, is it the same for a pub?

Cheers

First m8 it is legal to use at home, like most things in life what happens behind your home door is your business, but its all legal.
2nd in regards to the pub scene, well it is and it isnt, in this i mean if you are freeholder then yes, if you are brewery owned then no.
But eather way you still need to own a intertainment lycence to show any such things in a pub, and lets be honest, at the price that sky charge for such in a pub which is at the minute 1,100 a month, well thats over 12k a year, and as mentioned a art card is from 100 to 170, so it makes scence to which way you would go.
One thing you got to remember thoe, art sports cards are not legal in the UK and were not made for the UK market, but they are sold for here, and lots have them like myself, and worth every penny in my opinion, you wont get me buying a 50 or 60 quid card thats not going to last long when i can pay a little more and get the geniun thing for 12 months
Installed quite a few sat systems her on merseyside and as far a field as scotland, and still do, and always tell the customer not to bother with cards and progger if all you want is footbal and some films, its more worth the while to get a decent reciver that you can flash or input codes and one that u can use a geniun card with, then you have the best of both worlds if you also add a motor then its happy days :)
