How is there not already a thread for this? Quite likely the game of the year candidate, depending on how well it is executed. Rockstar are bringing back a lot of the fun, random interactive elements from previous GTA's. Is anybody else incredibly psyched for this?

As always the latest GTA installment is one I always look forward to! But, I'm a bit confused about the release date - why so close to the next gen console releases? Especially since neither xbox one or ps4 have backward compatibility!(?)

There's been no announcement about an xbox one version of GTA V only for the 360 or PS3.

Hopefully it improves on GTA4 which was quite boring.

I think GTA IV was more about the development of the game engine, a lot like GTA III on ps2. Once they had the engine sorted, they let a bit of craziness out in VC and SA. Definitely agree that IV was quite boring outside of the story, however the game engine was fantastic. Rockstar have also stated the reason for being on current consoles only is that they are now used to developing for the current platforms, therefore producing a much more polished and higher quality product.

I don't know which I'm more excited about - GTA V or Watchdogs. imho they look similar but I think GTA will have it on game play and overall detail

I really hope they put in a better variety of missions this time - GTA IV got really stale towards the end. I found the DLC packs much more entertaining.
... and please no friendship system (or Brucie)

im hoping V will be more like san andreas was on PS2! GTA IV wasn't as fun and a bit boring in places

For the time being that is correct, i highly doubt they would re-release the same game just because it might have a bit better graphics/realism

Though the game Watch Dogs is being re-released on ps4.

WD: all :17th nov
WD: PS4 on ps4 release day 29th nov

i think this is the only game i actually prefer to play offline. It is just one of those games you can pick up and go onit at anytime as you don't have to do the mission and you can just roam about.
