It's all a bit of a con at the moment m8. I bought a HD ready TV as my old one gave up the ghost. I currently subscibe to Telewest and it's the same deal with them ie you need to subscribe to a second box. Although they do have an on demand channel, that might be okay in the future.

Sky HD is a bit of a rip off at the mo. Do what I did and buy a technotrend DVB-S2 card for your PC and get BBC HD as well as some german HD channels for free.
