I think he's maybe right up to a point about the Scottish media and lack of quality but Levein's tactics were all wrong as well. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20320884

No matter what Levein goes on to do in football now he will always be remembered as the manager who played without a striker

Spain played without any strikers but they have the quality in their team to do that Scotland doesn't. The Czechs were there for the taking but he was too frightened to have a go and got rightly slaughtered for it.

Totally agree with you, Spain are the exception and have players all over the pitch who can score.

I don't agree with Steven Fletcher choosing not to play but the situatuin of will he or wont he dragged on for far too long and damaged levein.

Levein should have been the bigger man and picked Fletcher for a squad and then left it up to Fletcher to either turn up or stay away. If he turned up then levein would have been given credit for getting a much needed striker back into the squad and if he had stayed away then the stick would have been all Fletchers to take.

Rio is now nothing but a dream and the SFA must get it right this time.

Hopefully it will be a positive appointment this time somebody who the Tartan Army can get behind could be a while though apparently up to four months off yet http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20349305
