ive got an outside garden tap kit like this To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. now the problem is theres no access to the cold water pipe without ripping out
the kitchen sink unit, the only way il be able to connect to the water pipe is to cut
a hole about 4inch in dia,and hope to guess where the pipe is or do i get either a tee
junction or y junction and connect it to the flexi pipe which goes to cold tap and the tap

flexi pipe here http://www.diy.com/nav/fix/plumbing/plumbing-supplies/plumbing_fittings/-specificproducttype-connectors/PlumbSure-Flexi-Comp-Connector-15-x-10-x-300mm-11478196

the white push fit shown in the pic connected to the flex that goes to the sink tap will come off isolate the cold water lift the bottom of the white pus fit up the Gray part then slide the whole thing off

looking at the pitcher you might want to disconnect the waste pipe and take it out the way to give you better access and then put it back after.

in-sert a T with one end a short leg on it with a end cap, the leg wants to be a length you can get the stop valve tap in the kit onto as they have a drain down screw for winter built in.

the other end another short leg onto to re-attach the sink flex two

and the third end will go striate to the copper pipe

(if you use speed fit or polly plum remember to use pipe inserts)

(remember to lag the pipe out side of the building)

(drill the hole for the pipe though the wall at a slight down word angle then if the water leeks it wont run down the pipe into the house/wall cavity)

(bring the pipe uphill about 8" or mour then attach the tap dont go down with the pipe)

i have not seen a kit with a dublee clip and a bit of garden pipe before looks crap sorry to say id limit the pressure with the supplied stop valve to be on the safe side. the last thing you want is a flood ]

hope that helps you out in some way m8 http://1.2.3.10/bmi/www.world-of-digital.com/forums/images/smilies/top.gif

Just a word of warning abot them kits ive seen a couple of them fitted and they have been left on and then the pipe has split. Just make sure when you have finished using the outside tap to turn it off at the tap so water cannot freeze on the pipe and cause problems in the winter and also turn it off in the summer just in case the pipe fails.

i did say to lag the pipe and theirs a drain down screw also drilling the hole through the wall at a downward angle in case the pipe fails and did say they were crap but if you follow what i said for the price of the kit there worth it as the out side tap alone can cost near 10 pound.:)

cheers for the input guys,i thought it be easier to cut a hole about 4 inch diam in the area of the cold water pipe
is,then rather connecting a tee junction to the flexi pipe,im gonna look at the situation again
as for lagging the pipe and draining the water its common sence to do either of these (well i think it is )

common sence there are few people with that here at times lol glad to find some one with it :) if you go down the root of cutting the hole make shour you dont drill/cut throu the pipe (flood time)

most plumers run pipes uphill in a straite line so from were the pipe comes thrugh the back of the unit draw i line from the center of the pipe up and down and the pipe SHOULD be there trubble is it might be right far back ???

you might find it hard to fit the pipe puncher stop tap and attach the pipe to it through the hole but what ever you decide good look :)
