I don't reccomend 3D TV for gaming as not many games will incorporate 3D. Also i broke mine by accidently hitting it with a controller :P

The recommendation I have on this is to make sure that you buy a TV that comes with a guarantee. I am not sure if true but i was told that some websites send them from less developed countries and they are not guaranteed or built to the same spec as others but I wasnt sure if this was just because the guy in the shop was trying to get me to buy from them. Another important factor is whether you buy one with active shutter glasses which cost ?75 a pop or the non active ones which are the same they use in cinemas. I got so fed up with advice though that I just went with one I thought looked the best in the shop. Its a mid spec Panasonic and I am really chuffed with it. Although would recommend to buy speakers as tv so thin that the speakers arent great.

personnaly save your money until it comes out where you dont need the glasses.

M+S are doing them cheap online- ?299 for a passive set- 32"

Actually they have them online for ?249, just checked and I think that comes with a 5 yr guarantee. Could be worth a punt

The prices for Samsung active shutter glasses are only about 20 quid!
They are black and quite comfortable to wear as well, so a couple of bonus points for buying a Samsung, while you are looking for advice! ;)

Have to agree with "thejarv"s comment above.
Save your money, 3d tv's are fairly new, I'd wait for a little while yet before buying a 3d tv, but that's just my opinion.

3D tvs are sky rocketing down in price for 2 reasons 1 the new tech is coming out then there is no need for glasses, 2 its a fad and wont last!! The film industry has realised that it is just not working and not worth it. It will fade to a distant memory just like betamax did in the 80s it was just a vailed attempt to stop piracy and it didnt work lol With the next gen 3d tvs they will say you need a new blue ray player blah blah when will anyone learn its just a thing to get the most money out of your pocket they can! With the next generation of HDTVs just around the corner 3D will get back in the 70s like where it should have stayed pmsl

To be honest 3d tvs are a bit of a gimmick... I'll admit it's great to start with, but that novelty will soon wear off... Spend the extra money on getting a decent "normal" tv
