What's the best way to put sky in another room. I think there is more than one way. Thanks in advance.

That's expensive though Mags, much cheaper to get one of those plug in Sky Magic eye things.
You can only watch whats on in the main rooms box, but you can change the channels from say a bedroom to watch on your second tv.

Best not to switch to your favourit porn channel while grannies still watching it in the living room though! roflmao

So do you want to watch different channels in different rooms at the same time? Do you want to access your Sky+ planner in a different room? If so then Sky MultiRoom is your only route. If not then a "magic eye" device will work - but needs some running of cables. Multiroom is a tenner a month I think, but the magic eye is like 20 quid one off from maplin. Another choice is an A/V sender / receiver. These work like magic eye in that you can't watch something different, but you have no control either. On the plus side they are wireless and require no cable running. It is technically possible to multicast the Sky output onto your home network - thats a good option if you have a new smart tv in the other room. Details on demand.

I'm also interested in putting sky in an upstairs bedroom.
I'm thinking about going with the multi-room option.
I have a white standard sky+ box in my living room and I was just wondering what time of box
do sky install for multi-room. I would like a HD box purely for the free hd channels, i'm not interested
in paying sky for the hd package which i think is overpriced.

The Sky HD package is 10 quid extra a month, but well worth it shazz!
Get the HD package and save on your multi room subscription by getting a "Magic Eye" adapter for around 20 quid online!
You can only watch the same as your main box, but control it from your bedroom, which is a much bigger saving than the cost of a multi room subscription!

Welcome to the forums by the way. :hi:

Hi, Thanks for the advice.
I'll look look into this option.
I think I'll give sky a call and see if they have any offers for upgrading to the hd package.

What i plan on doing is canceling my Sky with multi room. Resigning up and swapping the card between bother recievers. There only the two of us so nothing to worry about.
