LG have launched a new application which enables you to control your LG Smart TV with your Android smartphone or Apple iPhone. The LG TV Remote application is available free for Android smartphones running on Android 2.1 or later , as well as on Apple devices running on iOS 3.2 or later. After installing the application you can pair your mobile with your LG TV by connecting them to the same WiFi network. You'll then be able to use your smartphone to control the TV. As you'd expect the application replicates your controller so you'll be able to change channels , increase volume and much more. Additionally, you can use your mobiles touch-screen to replace the Magic-Motion pointer. One of the best parts of the application is the on-screen QWERTY keyboard. Whenever you navigate to a feature that requires text input , you'll be able to use your mobile as a QWERTY keyboard ! You can download the LG Remote Application from the Android Market by clicking here (https://market.android.com/details?id=com.clipcomm.WiFiRemocon&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5jb GlwY29tbS5XaUZpUmVtb2NvbiJd) or from the App Store here (http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/lg-tv-remote/id417713365?mt=8).

But Why?
In order to see your tv you would be at home, where your normal tv remote would usually be to hand.
Unless you had nicked the tv during the riots perhaps and you didn't have the remote?
