HTC Sensation owners on Three can look forward to a welcome operating system update imminently, the carrier has confirmed.
Responding to a Twitter enquiry from a Sensation owner, Three revealed that the bump to the 2.3.4 Gingerbread version of Android has been approved and that it's now ?waiting on HTC to release it over the air?.
Android 2.3.4 landed for Sensation-owning Vodafone customers last month. And while it?s perhaps no-one?s idea of a major platform upgrade, isn?t too shabby either.

For the most part you?re looking at bug fixes. But more enticingly there are performance optimisations too, which boost browsing speeds and cut overheating by optimising processor load.
But if you get to grab the update, be sure you back up all your data before starting the installation process ? just in case.
And it?s a good idea to use a Wi-Fi network too, lest you incur ruinous mobile data charges over 3G

Don't suppose anyone has any news on a firmware update for the sensation on Orange?
