Tipped as the Canadian firm?s largest ever global launch the new handsets will come in the form of two new BlackBerry Bold models and three new BlackBerry Touch devices.

Lining up on team Bold will be the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and 9930, RIM?s thinnest smartphones to date previously announced in May, whilst the Torch family is to welcome new members in the form of the BlackBerry Torch 9810, 9850 and 9860.

Offering a faster, more fluid web browsing experience than the company?s previous BlackBerry operating systems, BlackBerry 7 powered handsets are to add enhanced zoom and web navigation options alongside Liquid Graphics technology for an improved touchscreen interface and smoother graphics.

?This is the largest global launch of BlackBerry smartphones in our history,? said Mike Lazaridis, President and Co-CEO of Research In Motion. ?The BlackBerry solution offers a best-in-class mobile communications experience that customers love and we think they will be thrilled by the faster performance, enhanced browsing and richer multimedia delivered by these powerful new BlackBerry Bold and BlackBerry Torch smartphones.?

Progressing alongside the software each of the five new BlackBerry handsets are to feature improved hardware specifications with each device adopting a 1.2GHz processor, HD video recording and high resolution 24-bit graphics.

Other new features packing into the BlackBerry 7 OS include the recently revamped BBM service as well as Facebook 2.0 which will introduce the social network?s Chat option to BlackBerry users for the first time.
