Android phones and slates running the 2.2, AKA Froyo, version of the software or above and Adobe 2.6 or higher will support the video streaming app, which is currently Wi-Fi only and won?t be accessible on 3G networks.
ITV programmes which the network has cleared with important Tellybox rights people will be available to view for seven days after they were initially broadcast. Alas, the app, which is free to download, will only work in the UK.

The broadcaster also confirmed it is working on a version of the application for iPhones and iPads, as it plays catch-up with the BBC which has had Android and iPad apps for its iPlayer since February and an iPhone edition since way back in 2008.
