Also an article has just surfaced about the use of DICE’s Frostbite 2 engine for Battlefield 3. It has been a long suggestion that Frostbite 2 will be the powering behind Battlefield 3 which is being used in Battlefield Bad Company 2. DICE is going to build Battlefield 3 in such a way that it is optimized for the PC as well as consoles.

PC gamers will be very happy about this because of the fact that Frostbite 2 will be being pushed to its limits on the PC!. It is expected that the utilization of multi-core processors, 64 bit-OS’s, and advanced lighting. With more power and utilization of the Frostbite 2 engine it`s expected that we be getting 64 player matches again.
