if the vm 'f' connector cable does not plug directly on to it then it can be used on any system

look it up on a search engine by typing its model number in

there are 'cable' d-link routers and there are ADSL [phone line] dlink routers

No router works with cable and adsl m8.
It is like the difference between a cable Dbox and a satellite Dbox, different hardware.
If I remember rightly, the socket line connection for adsl is a smaller telephone line connection, not the RJ45 connection used by normal broadband?
Can someone please correct me if I am wrong here?

not they both have the same cat5 socket
remember the cable/phone line do not connect direct to them, thats the job of the modem

they will have differing protocols, thats why they are sold as either
ADSL router
or
cable router

never both
