At the mo i have a single cctv camera system that is pluged in to a dvd/hd so i can record and watch through my tv.Were i live we back on to a park and at night it is pitch black, anyway a few nights ago some low life climbed the railings and got over in to my garden.Thankfully next door saw them and they legged it,so i want a twin camera cctv system that i can plug in to my hd and be able to see both cameras at the same time on me tv i.e a spilt screen.I have security lights at the back but that didnt seem to stop the little darlings:kungfu:Any ideas? i have heard of a system that will switch over to a camera if it detects movement but not found one,Also it might have to be wireless unless the camera comes with a long wire. But not ever having a wireless cctv i dont no if they are any good. Thanks for any help guys

I have used some sensor lights with cams and to be honest not yet found one that i think is worth the money they can be hard to set up as far as comming on when movement is detected.
What i use is a seperate flood light with sensor and a camera card in the pc these can be got on ebay cheaply but again need a good PC mobo setup and at least 2 gig memory and i use a 500gig hard drive that is on constant record it re writes over the older files and the software comes with most you can get a 4 cam version so you can monitor or view upto 4 cams with the software that comes with the card most are from the East but all the ones i have had have been worth the dosh m8.
If i can be of any help just shout m8.

I know Maplins do quite a range of cctv systems, priced from the sublime to the ridiculous.
They seem to almost specialise in cctv these days, so it might be useful for you to go and have a look what they sell and get some first hand advice as to what you need, while you can actually see and hold the kit they are talking about?
They also have an easy returns policy, just in case your not satisfied with what you buy.

it might be worth investin in a proper cctv dvr which will take four camaras
this is summat i got,of fleabay about ?50 To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. the camara i got are summat simaler to these,i got two # 30 LED Infrared Waterproof CCTV CMOS Wired Camera Cam on eBay (end time 08-Jul-10 19:07:33 BST) (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/30-LED-Infrared-Waterproof-CCTV-CMOS-Wired-Camera-Cam-/320554914883?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CCTV&hash=item4aa28fd443)

some extension cable for the power and cams

the reason i say go for a proper dvr that i can be left on 24/7,some dvr let you access from a pc,also connect it up via a tv card on pc you can view whats happpend etc etc

You need to use sensor with the camera. It will fulfill your requirement. You can even call a professional for the help.
