A bit of an update to a post i made earler........

Sharp has revealed a 3D screen that doesn't require glasses at a demo in Tokyo.
The viewer features a 3.4in screen, so it's just a little bit smaller than an iPhone, and it's been suggested that it could make it into Nintendo's next DS console, which is tentatively being called the 3DS, due to hit the shops at the end of March 2011.
Since Sharp is also Japan's biggest mobile phone manufacturer, it's also almost certain to appear in Sharp mobile phones in Japan. Sharp, along with Hitachi, already supplies DS screens. The screen is due to go into production in September and uses a system of angled slits to project a slightly different image to each eye but only works on very small screens at a very limited viewing angle at a distance of up to 30cm - so it's a long way from being suitable for TV viewing, though industry speculators have suggested it could be with us within about five years.
