no knickers in a twist this end...soryy
you cant put a video8 cart into a vhs, diff format of encoding
you will need to use a player/camera and correct leads.
i have all the kit to do it but thats down south and i cant see me being there too soon! the roads are crap and more to come!

not sure what you mean m8 i want to put the tapes onto dvd to keep i have a video recorder that has both dvd and vhs so i could do it but the tape is video8 smaller than vhs but im told they make an adapter to put the tape into then put it into vhs machine so the adapter is vhs size but has a section cut out to drop the video tape into so it can be played on normal VHS.

no you cant.
only vhs-c works that way.
video8 is a totally diff encoding method

you need to connect a video8 player device [the camera you have?] to the 3*RCA's on your recorder back panel.
