I have a Dbox2 (cable) which I am happy with. I want to get a new box for another room and was wondering to go for a dreambox instead. I can "re-program" my dbox2 quite easily and was wondering if there was much of a difference when "re-programming" a Dreambox. I was thinking about getting a high def box this time around and would like to know where is the best place to buy one.

HD Dreambox would be the DM800PVR, now depends on your budget. Clones can be bought for as little as ?180 or around ?390 for a genuine. If it where I'd go for the genuine model, but thats me :)

For genuine either Satstore or dreamboxshop.

Does this look like a clone or the real thing? Dreambox 800 HD Cable receiver Box, Dreambox 800C (http://www.dream-multimedia-tv.co.uk/dreambox/dreambox-800c.htm)

You currently have 0 posts. Thats defo a clone. If you really want to go down the clone route, email the seller asking if the loader can be upgraded and also ask if the tuner is fixed or plugin. At least if its plugin you could swap the tuner for a satellite tuner if ever required.

The one in your link is a fixed tuner, see bottom of advert.

I would prefer not to get a clone. Where can I get a genuine box?

I can personally recommend the first link as I've used them before, although I'm sure the 2nd link is every bit as good :)
