Right here goes lol.

If your painting and you need to leave it till the next day dont clean the brush or roller just put a plastic bag around the end of them, should be alrite till the next day.

If you have a stain on your ceiling from a flood or leakinging pipe, that when you try to paint over still comes through. First paint area with a white gloss or undercoat and leave to dry. Then paint over ceiling with emulsion and no water stain should not come through

The only only advice i can offer is dont hit yourself in the thumb with a wooden mallet, im currently recovering from a fractured thumb.

When drilling through ceramic tiles always mark the area with electrical tape and then using a whole punch or nail to make a mark on the tile. The tape will stop the drill from sliding away from the whole protecting the face of the tile.

If your using bonding to plaster a wall...mix it with some cement to make it go off rapid...the more you use the faster it will go.

Clerk of works on building sites dont like you doing this for some reason but ive found it fine but only used it small amounts.

ok here goes for some tips

Want to store tins of paint? Make sure the lid is on securely and the paint won't have a skin on top when you open it again.

Screwing into hard wood? - Put a bit of soap or vaseline on the screw for easier driving of the screw.

Sealing Round a bath? - Please make sure you half fill the bath before applying the silicone.

Perfect Silicone anywhere! - When you apply the silicone, many people use there finger to remove excess, i use a scrapper with a filed edge and a squeezy bottle with some fairy liquid & water, soak the silicone applied and use scrapper to remove excess (if you have no scrapper use an ice lolly stick)

Plenty more tips, just ask as i dont want to fill the board with them :)

Mick - time served joiner, with multi-trade experience/training. cant be botherd going to work tho

Rubing oil or even stain into natural wood is very hard work, I had to rub in danish oil into my pine stairs so I attached a cutout of a old pair of jeans and attached it to my sander(not belt). What an easy job it became.

hope this helps or can be adjusted to your needs
