One thing that you have to watch with these sort of tv's is that if it breaks in any way in which mine did,it is extremely hard to get spare parts and they just end up goin to the scrap yard, lol, i made that mistake b4 then ended up gettin a phillips as i no sumone who can now get me parts,lol-just a word to the wise, lol

hi , the Aria sounds a dood deal too , but i think Hyundai maybe a better name to go for , as the last post said , spare parts are hard or expensive to get unless you take out an extended warranty ( rip off ) to cover any break-downs

Other than misuse, overheating and overcurrent, IMO I believe that an LCD would last far longer than the life of the lamp, which is 5.7 years continuously on for my acer at3201w.
I think that if your lcd lasts a year it will last as long as its enviroment doesn't change.:41:
If your worried about not having spare parts then go for a model that is manufactured in the UK i.e. like hacker says the phillips or sony(i think) and panasonic.

Nice find by the way scoobydooby

And I would be wary of buying form Aria as well..
Buying from them is easy, but if you have faulty goods they are a pain to deal with.
I had a faulty USB Pen drive, and had to return it. They only refunded the purchase price, excluding the carriage, even though they proved it to be faulty. They only refunded the cost of return under duress..

it's not that unusual for companies to do that...not particularly good though /:)

I made the mistake last Christmas of getting a 32" LCD TV that isn't HD :( Really regretting it now especially with the price of good models coming down to the £500 mark.

Advice: GET HD READY!! and make sure it's HD READY and not HD Compatible!!
