View Full Version : A little tip - Image Backup

I stumbled upon this a while a go on one of the boards and it's very useful-

When you've installed a new image and configured all the settings for personal use make a back up copy so that if you have to do a reflash everything is set up straight away.

Do it by going to -

Main Menu
Service
Software Update
Read one Partition
Flash Without Bootloader

The image is now saved in the temp directory and can be FTP'd to your hard drive.

Very good info it also saves the channels so you dont have to copy services & boquets over I have done this with a few images.

you should as you say allways back up everything that was one of the first things i was told to do also a good thing to do is back up all your service and bouquets on this forum also check to see if the image you are using is here so you have a copy of that too and the good thing about it is that your helping other users of this forum too

Dont forget to pull it to your pc befor you switch your box off or it will disapeer. ?
