Just a thought everyone, howsabout some online gameplay as a WOD clan? Thought it would be good fun to setup a little clan playing Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolfenstein:_Enemy_Territory) as its free for everyone & still good fun even though its little dated plus you dont need a mega high spec pc to play it.

We could even setup some online comms for us whilts playin.

Whats your thoughts guys?

Post below if your intersted and what nights you'ed be able to play.

Enemy territory is cool as i have posted before about this and for all thst dont have fast systems "cough" it should run no probs.

Cool, I'll have a hunt round for a cheap comms hosting package, any preference, ventrilo or teamspeak. I've used both in the past & found Ventrilo better. Come on peeps come join some fun online warfare :)

Invest in a cheap headset with a mic, using comms online if great for covering each other.

I used to do a lot of clan based stuff years ago

and my suggestion would be

Unreal Tournament
servers can be set up on one pc so you can all play or host connection dependant of course

the game is easy to obtain and crack
so no expense there

and at least it dosent have a theme like a war game i dont play war games with a game like UT2003 its all about winning

and there is plenty of team based stuff in it like capture the flag etc
just my thoughts

Only thing is why i said enemy territoy is its free, plays with my crap graphics card lmao and its also Team based ;)

I tried that Unreal Tournament years ago after playing Quake 2. It was like trying to shoot a load of zeberdy's lmao

But hey! I'll try and sharpen my reflexes with a voddy & red bull or something :drink4:
Ha! Ha!

Just name it!!:woot:

All games are free if you see what i mean? lol
but yes you need one with low specs so all can play it which is why i mentioned UT2003

im not bothered as long as its a good game to play

Ok i have got a Unreal Tournament game download sorted so all we need is some players...

If you cant find the game on the forum pm me and ill sort u some links

What i thought was this, basically ill host the server with a password and then we try a few people in to see how it goes

We can always try other games if people dont want to do this one

One thing i noticed with enemy terroity you have to have gamespy installed to get in the servers ;o(

No sorry its an option it is possible with just the game

First thing we need to do is decide on which game we want to play

Just posted Call of Duty 1 as another option to try ;o)

Collider

Spoke to doc the other day and he said that he would possibly setup a server early new year.

@ chim dont need gamespy to play ,all i do is connect in game and list of servers come up

Yes i had noticed it was an error when i was picking the links, dont worry ill get the goty edition of 2004 if needed

Anyone played Americas Army?
Excellent FPS Shooter & free! Dont need the latest pc, is based on the unreal engine so most will run it.
Download Deploy client Here= http://k2-solutions.eu/forum/index.php?page=DownloadDBFileDownload&dataID=18
Once deploy client is downloaded, install it, then use it to download the "CORE" Which are the installation files (around 3gig).
When deploy client has downloaded the files, the install option becomes available.
Install & play for free!
I Am admin of an existing Americas Army server and WOD members are very welcome to come & play anytime.
I Would suggest a tag in your username like "-=WoD=-username" so you can be recognised as WOD members to recieve help & advice.
My Username is SeeYourDoom
Rising star players may get recruited into clan!:woot:
The game has an inbuilt server browser anyway and theres' no shortage of servers or maps to play.
Once the game is running to get straight on our server you open the console (@ or ~ key) and type open 80.193.33.244 then press enter and that will take you straight to our server. (punkbuster must be enabled in game, anticheat server)
Gametracker= -ACI-| ShotGuns! @Public FAST Server! [aa] America's Army (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. Online game manual= Main Page - AAManual (http://manual.americasarmy.com/index.php/Main_Page)

Once there are a few of you ready to play we could arrange some games but as said earlier, the server is always on so hop on to practice or just meet up on there anytime.
