my brother is in a sky only area and he is paying a fortune for his service bout ?90 pm and his broadband speed is only half a meg at max what box could he get tht would work with his set up cheers ie through sky dish

?90 a month i think he's getting ripped there m8.
i have a full sky+ subscription aswell as sky+ in the bairns bedroom and only pay ?50 a month,plus they advertise free broadband with packages now.
there is no way to sky free from a satellite, either with a valid subscription or join a cardshare and using a linux based receiver.

im not talking about sky but is there another box he could get that would run off of his dish he cant even get virgin as his area is not wired up for it cheers

no mate as a standard sky minidish points at astra 28.2e which is skys satellite and nothing else on it.
he can get germanys equivilent of sky (premiere) on 19.2e with a new dish either static or motorised and new receiver

these only run on cable
