Hello,
Has anyone bought from:

Dreambox Retail Shop,dreambox 500c,dreambox 500s,dreambox 7020 (To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 1 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. The prices seem very good (looking at a 600PVR),am i missing something? (Clone etc.)

I also was looking for another dreambox and came accross this site

these are clones , dm500 aint even made anymore. and the pvr600 are to cheep . they have to be clones. normally i would say clones are ok but recently some dm image makers are using code so you cant use thier image on a clone.

If you go for a clone then you take a chance, some new images not only don't work, but screw up the bootloader requiring a jtag job.

I am soooo tempted to get a clone for my Dad but a lot has to be said for support from DM, I know that some peeps don't agree with that but a mate of mine had probs with a faulty (not sold as faulty though) 2nd hand out of warrenty 7025 he bought off ebay and DM (and a UK supplier) bent over backwards to help and supplied a new PSU free of charge.

If you want a genuine box with good support then google satstore.

yeah the prices look to good to be true its worth buyin one to check it out dm500 for 50 bucks nice it prob will last a month but wud have paid for itelf.

dvbseller with postage and paypal charges are about ?67, had a look out of interest the other day as they looked really cheap, guy called PENG is doing them for ?60. DVB seller apparently has taken over from dreamboxmagic.co.uk

you could always give max at sms dreamboxshop a call he is the main uk suppler got my 500 and 800 of him and from the last time i asked him he had some 500c in stock all real not clones
