Hi All,

So I fecked up my kernel once and for all had none to role back to. I decided bollox to it I have upgraded this laptop from (5.10 --> 6.06 --> 7.04 --> 7.10 --> 8.04 --> 7.10) ill reinstall and start from scratch again.

After clean install I ran a normal update / upgrade

$ sudo aptitude update
$ sudo aptitude full-upgrade

This is all that is needed now days to get tuxbox compiled :)

$ sudo aptitude install -y automake1.9 libtool cvs flex bison texinfo mtd-tools squashfs-tools
$ sudo rm -Rf /bin/sh && ln -fs /bin/bash /bin/sh

that has to be the easiest install ive ever done.

was getting errors with the apt-get packages but that was down to it looking in the wrong resporitry's

but now im running ubuntu 7.10 guttsy and it compiles fine

thinking of going on to server version as i hate the gui

has anyone else instaled it what do you think ?
