got a mate with a phone that uses the same battery?
if so, charge it up and put it in your phone.
if the phone operates ok till it goes flat and then will not charege it, you've either got a stuffed charger or a faulty charging circuit in the phone.

dx100uk how will know if it's the circuit in the phone? I've used different chargers and it makes no difference. If it is the circuit how can I fix it ?

rickyincamden thanks for the suggestion how can I find out if it's the software and if it is how do I update it ?

As its a nokia you may be able to take it to the carphoneware house if you are in the uk as they have a nokia repair centre and if you have had your phone for less that 2 yrs its covered by warrenty just incase its a phone fault.

How long have you had the phone and battery for?

I need to charge my battery almost every day but thats because i use 2 use my phone all the time non stop and play games on it all the time as that runs the battery down...

Also if it has bluetooth on it...that will run it down to so i would suggest making sure thats turned off when you arent using it.

thanks kirsty I'll turn the bluetooth off and see what happens. I think my 2 years may have just expired.

The Nokia 8800 is well known for having poor battery life.
I have one and need to charge it every day.

I think its the only phone I know which comes with 2 batteries because of its poor battery life.

From what I hear, they have fixed this issue in 8800 Sirrocco.

I guess like me, its something we need to put up with.
